Singapore (October 11, 2023) — At the Tech Week Singapore conference that begins today, Similarweb (NYSE: SMWB) will share insights on the digital world ranging from the impact of AI to the evolution of ecommerce, where Asian companies like Temu and Shein increasingly play a leading role.

Sara Moses, senior sales manager, will break down the most powerful trends his team sees in its working with customers in APAC and around the world.

APAC consumers are known for being mobile-first and app focused, but the digital journey to making a purchase still often starts with a web search. We will present data showing the scale of searches, and how to interpret the data to discover consumer demand you can capitalize on.

The digital world is in the midst of another big transition with the rise of generative AI technologies like ChatGPT and Google’s Bard and their potential to upstage search as the best way to find information. On the other hand, as fast-growing as new AI technologies are, the presentation will put their early impact in perspective – Google is not about to be made obsolete anytime soon.

Meanwhile, businesses in the digital economy need to be thinking through the practical applications of AI to their own operations – as Similarweb has been with the beta release of a SimilarAsk chatbot that helps customers find the information they want with natural language queries.

The recent Similarweb 3.0 platform upgrades introduce dozens of new ways for businesses to understand their place in the digital world, for example by alerting them to search engine ranking opportunities and threats. Prior to Similarweb, Maoz served at Twitter in Sales Strategy and Operations. Maoz holds a B.Sc. in Management and Industrial engineering from Tel Aviv University, as well as an MBA from INSEAD.
