AI and data megatrends are driving unprecedented demands on computing capacity. But the increase in computing capacity is currently limited by the reach of copper links in scale up networks, and rigid networking connections in the scale-out. This talk explores the use of optical circuit switching in enabling scalable, high-performance AI clusters able to change cluster topology to adapt to real-time demand and re-route around hardware failures.
